Instruments we use in our lab
These systems have the latest generation atmospheric pressure inlets for high sensitivity ion injection. They are outfitted with a high resolution mass filtering quadrupole, a high field Orbitrap mass analyzer, and a dual cell quadrupole linear ion trap. The systems are capable of collisional dissociation – beam type and ion trap – and electron transfer dissociation (ETD). Some of our systems can also do activated ion-ETD (AI-ETD) and infrared multiphoton dissociation (IRMPD).
This system contains a quadrupole mass filter along with a high field Orbitrap mass analyzer. It is useful for proteomic and metabolomic applications.
Like the Q-Exactive HF, this system is a hybrid quadrupole mass filter with Orbitrap analyzer. The main difference is that the Orbitrap analyzer does not offer the same high resolution analysis options as the higher end Orbitrap analyzers. It is used mostly for small molecule analysis.
More infoThis system features a dual cell linear ion trap for precursor ion isolation and MS/MS analysis, among other functions. Ions are passed to a high field Orbitrap mass analyzer. This system has been modified to perform AI-ETD, negative ETD, IRMPD, and has a modified Orbitrap analyzer that can achieve resolving powers in excess of one million.
More infoOur laboratory coupled the first GC to an Orbitrap analyzer in 2010. We now have a commercial version of this initial system that offers routine metabolite profiling at high mass accuracy owing to the high field Orbitrap mass analyzer in the system.
More infoThese systems are connected to liquid chromatography systems and contain an electrodynamic ion funnel and the high resolution quadrupole mass filters.
More infoThis dual cell linear ion trap system is great for development work and method optimization.
